Rich Moore began playing saxophone at age 10 in Warrenville,
Illinois. Initially guided and inspired by his fifth grade band
teacher, he excelled and began to study privately. Steve Cristao
and Dave Polk, Rich's private instructors before college, helped
fuel his love for music and saxophone playing.
His hard work and dedication earned him a spot in the Northern
Illinois University Saxophone studio, where he received a Bachelor
of Music degree in Jazz Studies. While at NIU, Rich had the
pleasure of working with Steve Duke, Joey Sellers, Fareed Haque,
Art Davis, Paul McKee, Ron Carter, and many others. Currently,
he enjoys passing knowledge on to his many private students
and plays regularly throughout the Chicago area.
